Mark is a certified and insured Usui and Lightarian Reiki Master Teacher, he has been remotely directing Reiki, healing energy to individuals around the world for over 10 years. He has also been performing other forms of spiritual energy work/readings such as Tarot and has had psychic abilities for many years. Mark practices other healing methods dependent on each client’s diagnosis, persona or problematic situation.
Mark is a member of the NHS Directory of Complementary and Alternative Practitioners and of the UK Reiki Federation distant healing group.
Mark obtained his Reiki Master and Teacher's Degree in 2004. His lineage is through William Lee Rand. His clinic is based in Finchley, London but he covers all of the UK and in turn Worldwide through use of Distant Reiki Healing.

WHAT IS REIKI?
Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is thought to have originated thousands of years ago in Tibet and was rediscovered by Dr. Mikao Usui, a Japanese Buddhist monk in the 1800's. Reiki has its roots in ancient Tendai/Shingon Buddhist and Tibetan Sanskrit healing practices, is increasingly becoming an established complementary therapy.
Today Reiki is practiced in every country in the world and is joining other complementary therapies in the conventional settings of hospitals, hospices, counselling centres, emergency rooms, and intensive care units. Nurses, physical therapists, surgeons, midwives, and anesthetists report that Reiki can help manage pain and promote healing. Counsellors and caregivers treating those with terminal illness find that Reiki gives patients an increased physical, emotional, and psychological ability to cope.
Ki means the same as Chi in Chinese, Prana in Sanskrit and Ti or Ki in Hawaiian. Ki is the life force. It is also called the vital life force or the universal life force. This is the non-physical energy that animates all living things. As long as something is alive, it has life force circulating through it and surrounding it; when it dies, the life force departs. If your life force is low, or if there is a restriction in its flow, you will be more vulnerable to illness. When it is high and flowing freely, you are less likely to get sick. Life force animates the body and also is the primary energy of our emotions, thoughts and spiritual life.
It is the God-consciousness called Rei that guides the life force called Ki in the practice we call Reiki. Therefore, Reiki can be defined as spiritually guided life force energy.

How it works?
The Reiki Master channels the Reiki Energy on a spiritual plane. Performing Distant Reiki is all about the Intention and establishing a link with the person receiving Reiki.
During a session Mark will visualise his client and make an energy connection with them using Reiki Energy and Sacred Symbols that open the various channels.
He will state his intention for the healing session and begin scanning the aura and the chakras. Next, he will move on the areas of the body that need most attention.
Once Reiki is channelled to the recipient and because Reiki has its own intelligence, it starts the healing at Physical, Mental and Emotional level, for the clients highest good. Even if he does not see or feel the problem, the Reiki Energy intuitively goes where it is needed and heals. The Reiki master is the conduit for the energy.
When you receive Reiki for the first time, you are connecting to the universal energy. In fact, you belong to one consciousness and one energy field though different in vibrations. When we receive Reiki, we are not just attuned to Reiki energy, but also to a balance state of consciousness.
In balance, everything gets healed.
Second, Cho ku Rei symbol in Okuden level, means focus. Without proper concentration, we can't reach balance, because balance or harmonious thoughts appear only in one single pointed mind concentration.
Now Sei he ki, the symbol Sei he ki looks like the seed syllable "Hri", a syllable used to represent Bodhisatva Chen Re Zig or Avalokitesvara who also represent universal compassion. I understand Sei He Ki as deeper understanding about what is a balanced state of mind.
As everything in the universe is moving, nothing is at rest, balance also means flowing with exact rhythm with the universe, Apart from common understanding that balance means standstill and not moving.
In motion, everything resolves, sadness, grief, attachment and fear, are signs that our minds not flowing. Therefore, this symbol teaches our mind to vibrate with the rhythm of the universe.
The last, HZSSN symbol taught about the core consciousness of everything is one. It is like the sun that energizes every living thing on earth. Therefore it is connected with the fire element and the sun. But it represents more than just a sun, it is the life energy itself which the source of the universe.
Reiki works regardless of the religious beliefs of the person, Reiki is not a religion or a belief system.
Reiki also works whether the recipient believes it, understands it or not.

Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen
(Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen is pronounced as: "Hon-Sha-Zee-Show-Nen")
I felt some background to the work of distant healing might be of interest. The symbol is sacred and secret for many reasons.
The symbol has a general meaning of: "No past, no present, no future" or it can have the meaning of "The Buddha in me contacts the Buddha in you". The Distance symbol can, be used to send energies over a distance. Time and distance is no problem when using this Reiki symbol. I consider Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen as the most useful and powerful symbol.
The use of the symbol gives me access to the "Akashic Records", the life records of each soul and can therefore be used in karmic healing. Trauma and other experiences from this life, previous or parallel lives that affect and mirror peoples' behaviours can be brought to light and released.
The form of the Distance symbols is complex and probably this is the symbol with most variations. It is a Japanese Kanji and represents the human body incorporating the chakras and the five elements.”
